'Daedalus Wing' - 2021

 

'Daedalus Wing' - Chicken Feathers, Soy Wax and Wood

This work was created during lockdown and came as an extention of the clay project but the material I was exploring was wax both as a material and as a reference point. This piece entitled 'Daedalus Wing' was influenced by the story of Icarus and is named after his father who used wax covered wings to escape Crete with Icarus and is often looked over in the story.
